IEA Report Claims Fossil Fuel Imports Have Declined In More Than 100 Countries
The report from the International Energy Agency predicts that global renewable energy capacity will double in the next 5 years as countries save hundreds of billions of dollars by weaning themselves off of fossil fuels.

Ember’s sixth annual Global Electricity Review is a testament to the fact that the adoption of renewable energy is taking off worldwide, and is unstoppable. Accounting for over 40% of new generation added to the grid in 2024, the majority of this is happening in China and India, and this trend will not change. The energy transition is happening, led by solar + battery storage. We as a country cannot fall behind the rest of the world.
IEA PREDICTIONS ABOUT RENEWABLES
Global renewable electricy generation is predicted to be enough to meet the needs of both China and the United States by 2030. Solar PV will become the largest source of renewable energy by 2029. The price of solar PV has fallen dramatically over the last decade, and it's adoption worldwide has increased dramatically.
